Full Tilt’s New durrrr Challenge Page Brings Fans Closer to the Action

Posted under fulltiltpoker.com & poker & poker celebrities

FullTiltPoker.net has recently opened a new info section covering all the facts of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up tourney presenting some of the best high stakes online players taking on the online poker phenom Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The new site gives poker players and fanatics the opportunity to follow this historical Full Tilt Poker Challenge and receive timely statistical updates. With this new “durrrr Challenge” portal poker players can follow all the details and review each hand played during the challenge, and look at lots of statistics, including how many hands were played, time of session, cash won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Around six months ago, the twenty-three year old internet poker player delivered a heads-up challenge open to any poker player with the money, time and ability to accept it. Any poker pro entering the durrrr challenge has to put up $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge states that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played simultaneously at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the durrrr challenge, the player who has more cash will earn the pool. In essence if you enter the poker challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 hands, then you will earn Dwan’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by $1 then he will take your $500,000.

Thus far, several poker players have agreed to to play the “durrrr challenge”, including Full Tilt Poker Star Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, however, only Patrick Antonius has agreed to the poker challenge. At this point, both poker stars have participated in a total of 20,647 hands out of 50,000, with Tom leading the count $726,546 total.

Is Shooting your Mouth Off in Texas Hold’em Poker a Smart Tactic or a Dumb Idea?

Posted under poker & poker tips & texas hold em tournaments

poker tips
Certainly the most detested characters at the Texas Hold’em Poker table the majority of times will always be the attention-seeker. You are familiar with the person I’m telling you about. He’s the player that sits down at the no limit Texas Hold’em poker table and makes sure you’re mindful that he desires all of your Texas Hold’em chips; leaving the poker table with the very same attitude that he came with. Even if the guy gets killed, he has the idea that he is the finest Texas Hold’em player around.

Even as the better part of Texas Hold’em players would rather shun opponents of this sort, there are other players who might say that boasting might have its advantages. So, the big question is: Is there , if truth be told such a thing as an accomplished Texas Hold’em boaster or devious Texas Hold’em attention-seeker? Showing-off about how proficient you are in Texas Hold’em Poker is really just like stating: “I am the best no-limit Texas Hold’em player in the world, don’t forget to stay on your A-game while you’re sitting in a no limit Texas Hold’em poker game against me!” Most certainly that is the most awful vibe to give out playing no-limit Texas Hold’em. In addition, spilling too much about your Texas Hold’em playing manner can be quite harmful to your no limit Texas Hold’em poker game. You definitely do not want these people to have an idea about how you play specified poker hands.

What is more there are those poker opponents who may make use of showing-off as a style of poker trick, or bluff. Boasting when you are dealt a specific poker hand could possibly bewilder your opponents and puzzle them about your Texas Hold’em Poker playing method. Some people may believe that this approach somewhat tricky, but it is important to keep in mind that there are not too any rules against it in no limit Texas Hold’em poker. Poker is all about making good use of what’s given to you and taking advantage of it to the limit.

Online Poker Scandal will be featured on 60 Minutes

Posted under poker & poker regulations & texas hold em

absolute poker
On Sun., Nov. 30th the CBS network will show their documentary “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This investigation special was shot after a sixteen week investigation into the online Texas Hold’em business and in particular a deceitful scandal in relation to the online poker webpage Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em page was inspected after some of the Texas Hold’em players on the website said that a poker player was unlawfully winning an incredible amount of cash. Todd Witteles was a major witness in this inquiry, according to Witteles; he was losing incredible amounts of poker chips to the exact same Texas Hold’em poker player. Witteles says that this gambler was raising against exceptionally good cards, most people would have assumed he was basically giving out his money, but he was in fact winning poker chips.

Witteles was pretty accurate with his theories, much later it was discovered that a player who knew about the site was able to view any poker player’s hole cards. At first glance, Absolute Poker stated that there was no wrongdoing with the webpage or the poker player. After lots more players moved forward with allegations, the Texas Hold’em webpage explored deeper into the issue and uncovered the mystery.

By Jan. of this year, the Kahnawake Gaming Commision discovered what the Texas Hold’em poker competitors and the poker room had assumed all the time. It was eventually shown that, there was a worker who had hacked the Texas Hold’em poker room’s security system and was competing illegally for more or less six weeks. The study confirmed that the Texas Hold’em website had not benefited from the dishonest behavior in any way, and was positively not involved.

These crimes are further proof that there ought to be more regulation in regards to Texas Hold’em poker pages. The US government needs to authorize and legalize the internet gambling business to guard these honest consumers. These guidelines would also regulate the access to these pages by children, which is turning into another concern lately.

Possibly when you refer to Texas Hold’em with them, they would more than likely envision some guys lounging around their TV room chatting and smoking cigarettes. They also could believe Texas Hold’em to be a game of chance as opposed to ability, closer to a game of craps rather than a game of skill, for example.

Shunning Distractions while playing Texas Holdem

Posted under fulltiltpoker.com & poker & texas hold em

poker
The advantages of Full Tilt Poker compared to brick and mortar casinos are countless, but besides these rewards there are also a few troubles. Online poker lets beginner players the possibility to compete in prize poker tournaments with expert Texas Hold em players, but these at-home players ought to steer clear of any disruptions that may impair their prospects to win big money.

Many online Texas Holdem poker players become diverted by their environment, or perhaps by the online poker webpage they are competing on. These diversions can in truth cost them good Texas Hold em hands and quite possibly their well-merited poker chips. The game of Texas Holdem is a game of skill and also total attention, no matter if you are playing online Texas Hold em, or in a real poker room.

Most likely, the greatest slip-up that online poker players commit is by being involved in more than one table at a time. The greater part of amateur Full Tilt Poker players will feel that this is a good scheme, but at the end of it all it could turn out to be a disadvantage. This scheme of playing various tables at once will divert your focus and ultimately cost you money. Always remember that even the greatest poker players in the world will make damaging errors when concentrating their attention on other internet poker tables at once.

Any particular online poker player, may at any point, find themselves playing diverse internet poker tables at the same time, while watching TV, reading their preferred blog, talking on the phone to friends etc. This is a scenario that must be shunned if you expect to win satellite games and make the grade for big internet poker tournaments. Always remember to direct your mind on the other online Texas Holdem player’s bets, their aim, and your own online poker hands if you want to beat your Texas Holdem competitors.
